What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Packaging Coordinator position at Sur-Seal?
SUMMARY
Perform variety of tasks involved to assist in production activities. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs work as assigned by Warehouse Manager and Lead.
Pull packaging supplies (boxes, pallets, bags, etc.) per job traveler.
Repack all customer materials according to specifications.
Manage the reusable container program.
Perform all required repackaging tasks.
Monitor work orders and verify any increases or decreases in quantities.
Maintain and manage PCIDS (packing code identifiers)
Read job specifications (e.g. job travelers) and fully understand process prior to beginning each operation (e.g. pick and pack per method).
Move documentation back and forth to administrator and attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
Place finished goods on the designated pallet and move finished product to shipping (physically).
Perform operation to acceptable quality standards and transports finished work pieces.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Accurately complete all documentation as required to complete each job.
Performs housekeeping duties around work center such as emptying trash bins and keeping isles clear of clutter to avoid slips, trips, and falls
Fork lift certified or willingness to learn and become certified in 3 months.
Does not perform quality tasks or decisions.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Required to perform basic math. Required proficiency with Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write, fill out paperwork and keep track of time in English. Ability to comprehend written and oral job instructions in English.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
