What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assistant position at SUR-SEAL LLC?
Job Summary:
Perform variety of tasks involved to assist in production activities. Some of those tasks are pulling material, pulling dies, staging material, etc. They must follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs work as assigned by Production Manager, Area Lead, or Team Lead.
- Pull packaging supplies (boxes, pallets, bags, etc.) per job instructions.
- Read job specifications and fully understand process prior to beginning each operation
- Pull materials for next jobs
- Pull dies for next jobs
- Pull any associated tools or fixtures
- Move documentation back and forth to administrator and attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Perform operation to acceptable quality standards and transports finished work pieces.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Accurately complete all documentation as required to complete each job.
- Performs housekeeping duties around work center such as emptying trash bins and keeping isles clear of clutter to avoid slips, trips, and falls.
- Does not perform quality tasks or decisions.
Job Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Strong ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast paced production environment.
- Committed to following processes and quality procedures to achieve repeatable results.
- Computer skills preferred, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to stand/walk for the majority of a work day and work in a factory/warehouse environment. Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively and operate factory machinery.
