Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection.
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes while maintaining quality standards.
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or dining staff, ensuring excellent food service experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food service setting, with a strong foundation in food handling and kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with excellent knife skills and meal preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and catering is highly desirable.
