What are the responsibilities and job description for the FLOOR OPERATOR position at Supreme Rice, LLC?
Summary:
The Mill Floor Operator is responsible for maintaining the mill floor and milling process equipment assigned to him/her in a manner that minimizes the risk of product contamination.
Duties:
- Perform minor repairs on conveyors and elevators as needed using hand tools
- Keep area clean by using air hoses, vacuum cleaners, brooms and mops. Must clean up spills using shovels and wheel barrows.
- Work in a dusty environment while handling bulky and heavy materials while exposed to seasonal hot and cold temperatures.
- Be willing and physically capable of performing other tasks within different departments of the mill on a temporary basis as needed, directed by your supervisor.
- Must have the ability to understand directions from company and understand words, numbers and symbols on hazard warning labels, signs and placards.
- Abide by all safety regulations and standards established by Supreme Rice.
- Must report all food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Portion of this job may require you to lift material weighing 50 lb.
- Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
- Must understand and follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personnel Practices.
- Must understand and explain the use and requirements of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work 8-12 hours per day depending on shift rotation.
Salary : $34,520 - $56,177
