What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Superior Towing?
Superior Towing, Inc. is hiring a part time to full time dispatcher for our fast paced, high energy environment.
We are staffed 24/7 with drivers and dispatchers. As a dispatcher you are the first person to represent the company and "close the sale". We are in the business of helping people. We provide services for Insurance Companies, Motor Clubs, Body Shops, Repair Shops, Auto Dealers, Law Enforcement, and the General Public.
We service the area of Chicago, surrounding Suburbs, and Northwest Indiana.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Answer phones and coordinate etas based on customer needs and truck availability
- dispatch calls / keep track of drivers
- anticipate potential delays based on weather, peak activity, and traffic
- Communicate with the customers/providers on any status requests, changes, or delays
- Process billing to include added equipment, over miles, or any additional charges
- Determine driver assignment based on nearest available driver and required equipment.
- DISPATCHER REQUIREMENTS
- Dispatch experience
- Must have a good geographic knowledge of our areas of coverage
- Must be able to multi-task
- Self-motivated
- Team Player
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must have computer skills: MS Office Suite, Internet Software, Email communication, Mapping and GPS
- Must be able to work past shift change or come in early when weather dictates. Also must be able to work other shifts to fill in during illness and vacation.
- HOURS:
- Applicants must be able to work various weekend, weekday, night, overnight & Holidays
- Applicants must be able to pass a back ground check.
