Superior Skilled Trades is looking to add a dynamic Payroll Specialist / Timekeeper to our team in Fremont, CA!
- Fulltime, Internal Position: Payroll Specialist / Timekeeper
- Location: Fremont, CA
- Salary: $33.65/hr
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Core Responsibilities
- Review and verify clock-in and clock-out records for 200-300 employees on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies or errors with employee timecards
- Communicate directly with employees to clarify time entries, gather missing information, and facilitate timely corrections
- Track daily contractor attendance and report headcount to supervisors multiple times a day
- Analyze attendance trends and provide coaching to employees as needed/applicable
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, HR administration, or a similar field
- Previous experience within the construction or staffing industry strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and handling high-volume employee data
- Proficient in Excel, especially with formulas and pivot tables
- Timerack and Avionte experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
- Must be comfortable being employee facing and sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time
