What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Grader Operator position at Superior Skilled Trades?
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking UTS-GPS Motor Grader Operators for projects in the Lebanon, TN area immediately!
- PAY: $$32-40hr (based on experience)
- HOURS: 7:00am - 3:30pm
- SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
- WEEKLY HOURS: 40 hours per week
- START DATE: Immediately
- DURATION: Temp to Hire
Responsibilities:
- Perform either rough or fine grade finishing, precisely spreading and mixing materials in order to dry and prep roads.
- Construct road surface to precise grade specifications
- Lay cold mix, and/or shave and rip out old road surfaces
- Perform daily maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Assist in traffic control device installation and maintenance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of finish motor grader experience (minimum).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment controls.
- Work in and around highway or roadside construction areas.
- This position requires the use of PPE including a hardhat, steel-toe boots, gloves, vest, and safety glasses.
Additional Requirements:
- Operate a motor grader to shape and level surfaces according to project specifications.
- Finish rock to create smooth, compacted surfaces ready for paving or further construction.
- Establish proper drainage and elevation to prevent water pooling and erosion.
- Read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes to ensure accurate grading.
- Adjust blade angles and slopes for fine grading and finishing work.
- Must be able to pass a Drug Screening.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
