Electronics Technician

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an Electronics Technician for a long-term project in the Midlothian, VA area

PAY: $25–$30/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays (Plus Overtime) 5 days per week
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday–Friday; 7:00 am–3:30 pm
START DATE: ASAP
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Professional Summary:

• Electronics Technician with experience in access control, low voltage systems, and electronic security installations
• Skilled in card access systems, Trilogy locks, CCTV, and intrusion detection
• Proven ability to perform new installations (65%) and maintenance/service work (35%)
• Works independently with strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
• Committed to delivering reliable system performance and strong customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2–5 years of experience in low voltage or electronic security systems installation and service
• Proficient in installing and servicing access control systems including card readers, door strikes, magnetic locks, and Trilogy lock systems
• Experience with low voltage cabling, terminations, and system integration for security platforms
• Installation & Service: Performed new system installations including layout, mounting, wiring, and device configuration
• Access Control Systems: Installed and maintained card entry systems and keyless entry hardware
• System Integration: Supported CCTV and intrusion detection system installations and upgrades
• Troubleshooting: Used diagnostic tools and software to identify system faults and restore functionality
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
• Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
• Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Position requires the use of PPE, including: steel-toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
• Must have standard low voltage/electrical hand tools
• Background and drug screen required
• DCJS License Required

Additional Requirements for Technician:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
