Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Control Panel Technician for an immediate start in New Britain, PA!
WEEKLY PAY -- LONG TERM & FULL TIME!
- PAY: $23-$28/hour (based upon experience)
- HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)
- SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Friday; 6:00am – 3:00pm
- START DATE: ASAP
- DURATION: Temp-to-Hire
About The Company:
Our client is a leading, diversified engineering company that designs, manufactures, and services custom testing machines and aircraft hydraulic test stands for industrial and military customers worldwide. Their products include standard machines as well as highly specialized, custom-engineered testing equipment.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Control Panel Technician to join the team. This position involves building, troubleshooting, and testing industrial electrical control panels with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, troubleshoot, and test industrial electrical control panels
- Layout, assemble, and wire control panels
- Drill, tap, punch, and mount components to panels
- Set up and test completed control panels
- Install electrical components into a variety of industrial equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and dimensioning layouts
- Perform point-to-point wiring of PLCs, relays, motor starters, and VFDs
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components that are shut down or not operating properly
- Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical layouts
- Proficient with various hand tools
- Strong mathematical skills and precise attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
- Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
- Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
