Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, creating a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Relay orders promptly to kitchen staff and ensure timely service delivery
- Assist servers during busy periods by delivering food and beverages to tables
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand, dining area, and waiting list
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, and concerns with professionalism
- Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, providing information or assistance as needed
- Support the team in maintaining a hospitable environment that emphasizes guest comfort and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Host/Host or Server in a fast-paced restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent hospitality skills including guest relations, serving, and handling guest inquiries
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and professional communication skills
- Willingness to learn new systems and adapt quickly in a lively environment
