Burn Table Operator

Superior Industries is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and detail-oriented Burn Table Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, a coachable attitude, and the ability to operate plasma or oxy-fuel cutting tables to precisely shape steel components according to engineering designs.

Job Location

Belen, NM - (80 Don Luis Trujillo Blvd)

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret engineering prints, blueprints, and nesting layouts to determine exact part dimensions and cutting paths.
• Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and safely operate CNC burn tables (plasma and/or oxy-fuel) to cut and shape structural steel plates.
• Equipment & Material Handling: Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely load raw steel plates onto the table and unload finished parts.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all safe operating policies, guidelines, and procedures to maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Team Support: Adapt to production needs and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications

• Blueprint Literacy: Proven ability to read and accurately interpret industrial blueprints and technical drawings.
• Equipment Familiarity: Experience operating CNC burn tables, plasma/oxy-fuel cutters, forklifts, or overhead cranes is highly preferred.
• Growth Mindset: Open to coaching, continuous learning, and constructive feedback to improve operating skills and efficiency.
