What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cart Wash - Janitor position at Superior Health Linens?
Empty trash and debris from soiled carts. Push soiled carts into cart wash machine on the soil side. Inspect finished carts on the clean side to ensure they are property washed. Tilt carts to remove excess water. Move dry carts to designated area. Inspect carts and wheels for damages, needed repairs, and safety hazards. Follow standard operating procedures, in addition to the requirements of HLAC. Must meet quality and production standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be on time.
- Have excellent attendance.
- Meet established production standards.
- Follow all company safety rules.
- Be able to work well with a diverse workforce.
- Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude.
- Keep work area and the company premises clean and organized.
- Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise.
- Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day.
- Able to occasionally lift and stack carts weighing up to 85lbs.
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling.
