Role Description The Senior Mechanical Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hammond, IN. This position is responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing CAD models and drawings, collaborating with engineers and project managers to refine design concepts, and supporting machine and equipment layout. The role involves performing design drawings, participating in design reviews, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues. The Senior Mechanical Designer may also support research and development activities, contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, and mentor less experienced designers.
Qualifications
