Description:Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a statewide provider of commercial skilled trade services. The HVAC Commercial Estimator plays a key role in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial HVAC installation and service projects. This individual will analyze plans and specifications, perform material and labor take-offs, and collaborate with project managers, and the internal purchasing department to prepare comprehensive bids.Scope of ResponsibilitiesReview mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and estimate requirementsPerform detailed quantity take-offs for equipment, materials, and laborPrepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC projectsObtain pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliersCollaborate with engineers and project managers to verify project requirements and value-engineering optionsEnsure estimates comply with company standards, industry practices, and local codesParticipate in project meetings and provide input during preconstruction and planning phasesContinuously evaluate and refine estimating procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and competitivenessMaintain current knowledge of HVAC industry trends, pricing changes, and emerging technologiesWork Location Requirement: This position is on-site at the corporate office and is not available as a remote or hybrid role. Candidates must be able to work from the office during standard business hoursRequirements:Minimum of one year of commercial HVAC estimating experience, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems, components and installation practices Ability to interpret plumbing/electrical, architectural, civil, and structural plans relevant to HVAC installationsProven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, SureCount, Autodesk, Intellibid, and/or EBM preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesSuperior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a service and construction company providing customer service throughout California and other states.
