Job Summary
Superior Duct Fabrication, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated CAM Specialist / Input Specialist to support our fast‑growing fabrication and estimating operations. This hybrid role bridges estimating, order processing, and CAM/fabrication packet preparation to ensure accurate information flows from Sales to the shop floor.
The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment. Sheet metal or HVAC experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate with strong fundamentals, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Estimating & Sales Support
· Prepare quotes, contracts, and responses for current and prospective customers
· Interpret job requirements based on construction standards and customer needs
· Capture adders not covered in standard Autodesk EST pricing
· Flag non‑stock materials and special job requirements
· Manage estimating workload and meet deadlines consistently
· Communicate sales or project issues with management
Order Processing & Project Coordination
· Manage individual sales orders and quotes in Business Central (BC)
· Accurate job input and order processing
· Coordinate with Customer Service, CAM, and Manufacturing teams
· Identify and manage risks across multiple active projects
· Assign appropriate labor hours to production schedules when needed
CAM / Fabrication Support
· Double check any custom or complex items
· Modify and segment any items to fit machine standards
· Publish to Stratus for shop workflow
· Create, print, and organize complete fabrication packets for all shop departments
· Double‑check math for shear items and fabrication documentation
· Ensure production receives accurate and complete paperwork
General Expectations
· Solve problems quickly and calmly under pressure
· Maintain organization across multiple jobs
· Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
· Support SDF values of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, and Integrity
· Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Sheet metal or HVAC industry experience preferred
· Experience with estimating, order processing, or manufacturing support a plus
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Proficient in basic arithmetic
· Organized with strong time‑management skills
· Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
· Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Computer & Software Skills
· Windows proficiency required
· Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
· Ability to interpret 3D models preferred
· Experience with Autodesk EST and Business Central is a plus (or willing to learn)
