Responsibilities

  • Engage with community members in various settings during evenings and weekends to assess needs and provide support.
  • Facilitate access to resources such as social services, healthcare, housing assistance, and other local programs.
  • Build trusting relationships through active listening, empathetic communication, and culturally sensitive interactions.
  • Collaborate with local organizations, service providers, and stakeholders to coordinate community outreach efforts.
  • Document interactions accurately, including service provided, follow-up actions, and community feedback.
  • Promote awareness of available programs through outreach events, informational sessions, and door-to-door engagement.
  • Maintain professional boundaries while demonstrating a positive attitude that encourages community participation.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations in a respectful and empathetic manner.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to clearly convey information and instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of local social services, healthcare resources, or community programs is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends consistently; reliable transportation is beneficial.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations or community needs.
  • Prior experience in community outreach, social work, or related fields is a plus but not required. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $ $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 48 per week

  • Can you pass required background checks?
  • Are you willing to complete required training and documentation?
