Job Summary

The Sr. Manager, Project Management is responsible for managing and developing a team of project managers who oversee large-scale server rack and GPU cluster deployments across global data centers. This role ensures that projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with client and corporate objectives. The Staff Manager works cross-functionally with engineering, integration, facilities, and operations teams to standardize project delivery, maintain customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement across multiple regions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of project managers responsible for server rack and AI cluster deployments.
  • Define team goals, establish processes, and ensure consistent execution across projects.
  • Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance reviews to grow project management capabilities.
  • Project Delivery Oversight
  • Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of large-scale deployments in client data centers.
  • Ensure all projects meet defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Support projects involving deployment of GPU-dense racks, high-performance interconnects, and large-scale AI infrastructure.
  • Review and approve project documentation, including installation plans, risk assessments, and status reports.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering, solution integration, logistics, and facilities teams to ensure deployment readiness.
  • Coordinate with clients to capture requirements, manage expectations, and resolve escalations.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Standardize project management methodologies, tools, and reporting frameworks across the team.
  • Track KPIs for schedule adherence, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support relationships with key accounts, particularly hyperscalers and enterprise clients deploying AI clusters.
  • Serve as an escalation point for project-related issues requiring management-level intervention.
  • Provide clear, timely project updates to internal leadership and external clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Information Technology, or Business); PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 12 years of project management experience, including 3 years managing a team of project/program managers.
  • Experience leading large-scale data center, server rack, or IT infrastructure deployment projects.
  • Familiarity with data center floor plans, layout optimization, and deployment logistics for GPU, HPC, and storage clusters.
  • Understanding of power density, cooling, airflow management, and structured cabling in high-performance computing environments.
  • Knowledge of server rack hardware, interconnects (Ethernet/InfiniBand), and deployment best practices.
  • Ability to interpret and oversee project documentation, schedules, and budgets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of interfacing with clients, executives, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, manage escalations, and drive accountability.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the US and internationally 25–50% of the time.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.

Salary Range

$191,000 - $216,000

The offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
