Electrical Revit/VDC Modeler
Essential Job Functions:
-Model 3D Revit Conduit, duct banks, Equipment, supports, and other electrical system components
-Create, Edit, and Coordinate 3D models using Revit
-Supports Preconstruction, Prefabrication, and on-site construction teams
-Strategize project-related modeling requirements with the project team during the project kick-off
-Assist director of design and the project team as required
- Review project submittals and shop drawings
-Knowledge of general construction. Experience in the electrical trade required
-Assists in the development of the company's BIM-related goals, initiatives, and standards
-Develops new ways to utilize model-based information in various phases of projects
-Communicating with field personnel and MEP Trade Team members
-Create 2D Shop Drawings for Field Installation
-Create 2D Fabrication drawings
-Produce material schedules for procurement using Revit
-Perform Virtual construction, clash detection, and coordination meetings
-Construction PPE will be required on jobsite visits
-Review work for accuracy and quality
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-5-10 years experience with electrical construction utilizing Revit
-Experience in large construction or data centers would be helpful
-Modeling of Electrical components and equipment
-Creating, modifying families to meet project specifications
-Navisworks (Simulate or Manage)
-Clash detection
-Create & save viewpoints
-Ability to use Windows Explorer for file organization
-Demonstrate organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
-Problem-solving and a strong sense of urgency
-Create a 3D model from 2D documents
-Ability to read and understand contract design documents
-Submittals, engineer drawings
-Microsoft Excel/Word
-Solid understanding of the design, documentation, and construction process
-General knowledge of Electrical systems and layout
-Ability to sit for long periods of time
-Willingness to travel to local job sites
Education & Experience:
-Working experience with Revit software
-Associates degree in Computer drafting or construction management
-Field experience in the construction trade
-Electrical construction experience a plus
Company information
-Pay is TBD based on skill and experience
-Office location will be at our Elk Grove or Chicago office. Other local jobsites as required
-For the right employee hybrid work will be considered
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
