Position Overview:
We are hiring Construction Laborers to assist with the installation of underground waterlines. This is a prevailing wage job offering competitive pay. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and in a physically demanding environment. Some travel is required between project sites in Bay City and Detroit. Hotel accommodations are provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in trenching, pipe laying, and backfilling
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Load and unload construction materials
- Follow directions from foremen and supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Comply with safety regulations and procedures
Requirements:
- Prior construction or utility work experience preferred, but not required
- concrete & asphalt experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to travel and stay overnight during the week (hotels paid by company)
- Reliable transportation to job sites or designated meeting areas
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
