Patient Service Representative - Fayetteville

The Front-End Patient Service Representative (PSR), in our Primary Care/Internal Medicine division, serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support patient care. The PSR manages patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and front-desk operations to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience.

• Greet patients, families, and visitors in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner
• Check in and register patients for appointments, confirming demographic and insurance information
• Schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on cancellations, and manage waitlists
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain pre-authorizations when required, and collect copayments or balances
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
• Communicate effectively with clinical and imaging staff to coordinate patient flow and minimize wait times
• Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately
• Assist patients with forms, wayfinding, and understanding pre-procedure instructions
• Monitor and maintain front-desk supplies and patient-facing materials
• Escalate patient concerns or service issues to management as needed
• Participate in department meetings and training sessions to stay current on processes and protocols

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Monday through Friday daytime hours
