Tech Aide

Job Summary: Prepare patients for their x-ray exam by getting patients from the waiting area, bringing them to x-ray and having them change appropriately. Maintain a clean work space. Communicate with patients requiring examination and procedures, and provide reassurance as necessary. Perform identification procedure by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a procedure. Register patients, enter orders, and track patients using the RIS. Maintains pt confidentiality at all times. Must be customer service oriented and maintain a professional appearance at all times. Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program or one year experience directly related to the medical field; Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required. May need additional certification, depending on education.
