Position Summary
Reporting to the CIO, the Instructional and Collaborative Technology Support Specialist is a non-ranked professional part of our faculty association. This position assists in providing comprehensive technical support to the College through the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The successful candidate will support, maintain, and enhance the College’s instructional and collaborative technology systems while delivering exceptional service to faculty, staff, and students.

Typical Work Activities:
1. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs computers, and audio-visual equipment including but not limited to control systems, projectors, video switchers, cameras, microphones and other AV related hardware.
2. Installs and troubleshoots operating system and application software within the campus systems.
3. Installs wiring and network drops throughout all College facilities and sites.
4. Responds to technology problems identified by end users and works to correct problems either independently or with the assistance of vendors.
5. Creates and maintains documentation. Provides training of end users in the use of technology, as needed.
6. Provides technical support for on-site and remote users including phone, remote session, and in-person interaction with faculty, staff, students, and administrators for connectivity to courses, meetings, and collaboration tools and access to learning and work materials.
7. Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree AND
- Three (3) years of paid professional work experience. This experience must include providing technology support to end users and/or audio-visual installation and troubleshooting. OR
- Bachelor’s degree AND
- Two (2) years paid professional work experience. This experience must include providing technology support to end users and/or audio-visual installation and troubleshooting.
