The School of Applied Technologies invites applications for a part-time faculty position to teach our "Statics and Strength of Materials" course during the Spring 2026 semester. We seek a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging instructor to join our team of dedicated educators.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in mechanics and materials science
- A passion for teaching and student success
- The ability to deliver clear explanations and connect theory to practical, real-world applications relevant to construction and architectural studies
This course serves undergraduate students in Construction Management and Architectural Design and Building programs.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach our Statics and Strength of Materials course for Spring 2026 (Theory and Laboratory).
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and hands-on sessions.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years. of professional experience within the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional engineer license
- Master's degree in a related field with three years of professional experience in construction.
- Seven or more years of professional experience in the construction field
- Experience in teaching or working with young adults
- Demonstrated ability to teach diverse populations
- Understanding the value of civic engagement
