Middleware Engineer


  • Brooklyn, NY
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
  • Billing: 7 hours per day, and the rate is DOE
  • Interview Process: Initial webcam interview followed by an in-person interview



Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in middleware engineering within enterprise or cloud environments
  • Strong expertise in IBM IIB / ACE, IBM MQ, IBM DataPower, Apache middleware
  • Proven experience leading cloud migration or application modernization initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing
  • Experience designing microservices architectures and API-first systems
  • Tools: IBM IIB/ACE, IBM MQ, IBM Integration Toolkit, IBM DataPower, Java/J2EE, ESQL, XML/XSD, SOAP/REST
