Entry-Level Operations Representative
Sunstate Carriers is a national over-the-road trucking company that operates an independent transportation brokerage. Within the transportation brokerage, our Entry-Level Operations will learn all aspects of over-the-road trucking. They will learn how to build customer orders, provide truck drivers load information, track shipments across country, schedule pickup and delivery appointments, negotiate rates with our carrier partners, resolve issues, and communicate with our customer base. Once our team members have a firm understanding of our business, they will move to a Capacity Management, Account Management, and/or a Transportation Sales position.
Sunstate Carrier specializies in the movement of refrigerated goods - ranging from fresh produce, orange juice, foodservice, and other time-sensitive dry commodities. Over-the -road trucking and brokerage is a dynamic industry that runs 365 days/year. Our trucks and business never stop moving - from making sure our grocery retailers have the items they need for Thanksgiving to having Christmas trees delivered for sale at Home Improvement stores.
At Sunstate Carriers, our Entry-Level Operations representatives will have the unique opportunity to learn the industry from senior staff who worked at some of the largest transportation brokerages in the US, while also maintaining the benefits and flexibility that a small business has to offer. The position will be a hybrid remote role to start - every entry-level team member will need to train on our Transportation Management Systems, Phone System Management, and learn the basics of an order's transportation life-cycle before they can work fully remote. All in-person training will occur at our South Denver office located by the Lone Tree/Denver Tech Center area. Once an Entry-Level team member learns the basics, trainings can occur remotely.
