Next Level Partners is conducting a retained search on behalf of a rapidly growing, private equity-backed infrastructure services organization that is a recognized leader in its industry. With more than 1,200 employees and operations across North America, the company delivers specialized solutions that protect critical infrastructure and support communities throughout the United States and Canada.
We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead a large, geographically dispersed field organization responsible for delivering hundreds of projects annually across multiple regions. This executive will play a critical role in scaling the business, strengthening operational systems, developing leaders, and preparing the organization for its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a 700 person field organization delivering complex, project-based work across North America.
- Build scalable operating systems, management routines, and standard work that support continued growth.
- Drive Lean transformation and operational excellence throughout the organization.
- Develop leadership capability and strengthen succession planning across the business.
- Establish accountability through KPI-driven operating rhythms and disciplined execution.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Safety, and Commercial teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Support the integration of new service lines, acquisitions, and organizational capabilities as the company continues to expand.
- Simplify highly complex operations and create sustainable, scalable solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and servant leadership.
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and a potential successor within the Service Delivery organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading large, distributed field operations, service delivery, construction, utility, infrastructure, industrial services, telecommunications, or similar organizations.
- Demonstrated history of building operational systems, leadership processes, and scalable infrastructure from the ground up.
- Strong Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence leadership experience.
- Experience leading multi-site operations with responsibility for significant P&L and organizational performance.
- Track record of successfully scaling organizations and leading through rapid growth and change.
- Exceptional systems-thinking capability with the ability to create order within highly complex environments.
- Demonstrated success developing leaders and building organizational bench strength.
- High levels of humility, accountability, and a hands-on leadership style.
