Main Activities
- Serve as the ‘Face of the Company’ in the field with clients, other contractors, the project team, and the public.
- Act as an overall site safety supervisor; correct safety concerns and mitigate hazards.
- Organize, assign, and oversee team, and completion of the project including detailed planning and implementation of production steps to deliver high quality, on-time, and on-budget projects most efficiently and safely, in partnership with the Project Manager and General Contractor.
- Manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change orders.
- Supervise and manage the Foreman and by extension all Lead Installers. Project resource allocation by task; equipment and personnel, to deliver necessary production to keep the project on time/budget.
- Organize, assign, and oversee the team’s completion of the project including detailed planning and implementation of production steps to deliver a high-quality product most efficiently and safely.
- Communicate expectations. Lead the Team - be the first contact person and problem solver for both the Foreman and Project Manager.
- Ensure that all project specifications are being conformed to, inspected, and commissioned on a day-to-day basis
- Identify potential issues relating to labor, tools, materials, or processes that may impact on-time and quality production; attempt to resolve with the client and/or general contractor, and bring to the attention of the Project Manager
- Prepare daily & weekly production, labor, safety and quality reports
- Oversee execution of the quality control program, in partnership with the Lead Foreman
- Oversee execution of the maintenance program to ensure that all maintenance and documentation for the heavy equipment, pile driving equipment, and any rental equipment is completed according to the schedule provided
- Oversee execution of the Safety Training Program
- Ensure the cleanliness of the project site
- Manage crew hotel rooms and transportation
- Provides input on field employee performance to project manager to aid in annual performance evaluations.
- Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager
- Reports to the Project Manager
- Identify process improvements to increase safety, production efficiency, and quality.
- Seek opportunities to reduce waste, trash, and emissions.
- Follow instructions of HR and Sunstall Admin as necessary for pay, travel, or other administrative issues.
