Job Description: Part-Time Licensed Massage therapist, Specializing in Medical massage and Thai Massage
We are seeking a part time licensed massage therapist who has experience or interest in practicing medical massage and Thai massage, including foot-pressure techniques and assisted stretching modalities. We are not a relaxation spa. We work with clients who have injuries and chronic pain in a clinic setting. The ideal hire may be offered "FULL-TIME", if they should want to go full - time. Must have availability to work Monday , Wednesday,Thursday and Friday shifts (9am-6pm) or Sat (9am-6pm) 1 year of experience preferred
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient service and possess expertise in various massage techniques to promote Thai massage, strecthing, pain relief, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments to determine the most suitable massage techniques
- Provide therapeutic massages including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, cupping, stretching and other modalities
- Educate patients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a med spa or occupational health setting
Requirements:
- Certification or licensure as a Massage Therapist
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience in pain management and knowledge of trigger point therapy
- Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor treatments to individual patient needs
- Prior experience in a med spa or occupational health environment is a plus
