Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Shift Lead to help us maintain the highest level of service and organization in our grocery store. As a Shift Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations during your assigned shifts and be responsible for supervising and supporting our team members.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of grocery store associates by setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Customer Service: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by assisting customers, resolving issues, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the stocking and replenishment of shelves, ensuring products are well-organized, properly labeled, and fresh.
• Cash Handling: Manage cash registers, process transactions, and balance cash drawers accurately.
• Opening and Closing: Open and close the store, including performing opening and closing procedures, ensuring security, and safeguarding assets.
• Training and Development: Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Quality Control: Monitor product quality and address any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure the store maintains a clean, safe, and organized environment, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
