Pediatric Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse – School Setting
Location: Bedford Hills / Yorktown Heights, NY
Pay: $42.00 – $52.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Part-Time / Per-Diem
About the Role
Are you a passionate caregiver who loves working with children and their families? Sunshine Homecare is seeking a dedicated Pediatric RN/LPN to join our supportive school-based care team.
For this case, you'll be providing one-on-one nursing care to an adorable young boy, affectionately known as the "Mayor" of his school-expressive, joyful, and always ready with a smile.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care during school hours

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Monitor and document the child's health status throughout the day
-
Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions

Assist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, catheters, tracheostomies (if needed)

Collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare providers
-
Ensure compliance with care plans from RN Case Manager and physician
-
Document care daily and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare

Supervision due to Epilepsy

Strong pediatric care skills and ability to manage emergency situations calmly

Organized, detail-oriented documentation skills

Excellent communication with children, families, and staff

Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited RN/LPN program
-
Active New York State RN or LPN license in good standing

Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience preferred

Prior school or community health experience a plus

Current CPR certification required
