Sunshine Disposal & Recycling has an opening for a Scale Operator/Cashier in our Spokane Valley business unit. This is a part time position. The first two weeks of company training are conducted Monday- Wednesday 7:00am- 3:30 pm. After initial training, the work schedule is Friday-- Sunday 8:30 am-5:10pm. Hourly wage is $18.13, a $1.00 per hour increase after 12 months of employment, and annual COLA. Computer literacy of Word, Excel is required. OJT for company specific processes is provided. Job Duties:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.
- Responsible for the flow of traffic in and out of the facility while operating scale for in/out weights. Provides exceptional customer service to all residential and commercial customers.
- Prepares color coded cards, paperwork, and receipts to customers for payment at the time of customer arrival.
- Reconciles cash till at end of shift to hand off to supervisor.
- Handles customer issues and inquiries as necessary.
- Keeps scale house and work area clean at all times.
- Will complete cross-training with Spotter crew for assistance with traffic flow.
- Attends all company meetings when scheduled, including training and safety meetings.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service environment preferred.
- Computer knowledge of Word and Excel required.
- Previous Cash Handling experience required.
Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
- Regularly(6 hours) sit, stand, walk, hear, see, stoop/crouch, crawl, grasp and reach.
- Seldom(1-2 hours) climb, lift(up to 20 pounds), pull/push, carry.
- Clearly see 20 feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
