Job Summary
Make a meaningful, positive impact on young children's lives by joining our sensational early childhood team! We are seeking a patient and dedicated teaching assistant for our toddler classroom. Teaching assistants will support the lead teacher and aid in providing a safe, nurturing environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive. This position requires a love of working with young children.
Hours: 8:15am - 5:00pm
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher of the classroom in implementing daily play-based lesson plans that support children's development and early learning.
- Work cooperatively with the lead teacher to follow daily routines, such as meals, naps, and diapering / toileting of the children.
- Maintain open communication with staff and parents alike.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children by following state regulations, best practice, and company policies.
- Engage with children in various activities such as outdoor play, crafts, music and movement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required
- Knowledge of childhood development preferred
- Must pass NYS background check
