Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques to ensure safety and appearance
- Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and high-touch surfaces
- Conduct basic maintenance duties like replacing light bulbs, reporting repairs, and assisting with minor custodial repairs
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure environment
- Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including porter duties and assisting with setup or breakdown for events
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning practices
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Prior custodial or facilities maintenance experience preferred; industrial cleaning background is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary
