This is a hands-on desk position. We need a dynamic leader who loves the fast-paced energy of the showroom floor, knows how to overcome objections, and takes pride in closing deals while maintaining top-tier customer satisfaction and transparency.
The Mission: Closing Deals & Coaching Champions
As a Sales Manager at Sunset Ford, you are the heartbeat of the sales floor. Your daily mission includes:

Desking & Deal Structuring: Work directly with sales consultants to pencil deals, structure financing options, and close customer transactions efficiently and profitably.

Floor Coaching & TOs: Actively jump in on "Turn Overs" (TOs) to save deals, build customer confidence, and demonstrate effective closing techniques for your team.

Trade Appraisals: Utilize market pricing tools and industry expertise to accurately appraise trade-in vehicles, ensuring optimal inventory mix and margins.

Talent Development: Mentor, train, and hold sales consultants accountable to daily performance metrics, phone scripts, CRM follow-ups, Social Media strategies and product presentation.

Inventory & Merchandising: Assist in managing inventory flow, ensuring lot presentation is pristine and high-demand Ford trucks and SUVs are front and center.

Process Consistency: Maintain seamless handoffs to the F&I department and ensure all deal documentation adheres to legal compliance and dealership standards.
What You Bring to the Desk

Proven Track Record: At least 2–3 years of successful experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or Senior Desk Manager in a high-volume dealership.

Closing Mastery: Exceptional negotiation skills with a deep understanding of deal math, trade evaluations, and lender guidelines.

Coach Mentality: Ability to inspire, train, and develop sales consultants of all experience levels.

Tech Acuity: Proficiency with dealership CRM systems, Social Media, DMS, and inventory appraisal software.
