What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Van Driver position at Sunrise Transportation?
DRIVER (Crestwood, IL)
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Sunrise Transportation Company is looking to add safe and friendly school bus drivers to help transport our students to and from school. No experience is needed for this position! We will train and teach you to become a licensed and certified School Bus Driver! We have vehicles of all sizes available from large SUV’s to the big Yellow Bus! We are not only looking for amazing Drivers who will help us in the mission to move our children forward but want someone who wants to move their career!
What we’ll trust you with:
- Driving a school bus or other large-sized vehicle to transport students safely and in a courteous manner
- Greeting students and ensure they are on time and safe
- Working closely with dispatch and leadership about any incidents, accidents, or mechanical concerns
- Other duties as needed to get the work done successfully
What matters most for this role:
- You have a strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area
- Completed a High School diploma/GED
- Over 21 years of age and ability to secure a CDL license with school bus permits
- Possess a valid driver’s license for 3 continuous years and in good standing.
- Have the willingness to work in a diverse organization with many high-pressure situations
- You learn quickly and have professional written and oral communication skills
