Field Engineer

Job Details:

Job Title: Lead Project Engineer

Location: Broussard, LA 70518 (Onsite)

Duration: 06 months Contract on W2 (Possible Extension/Full-Time)

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily operations and safety meetings including toolbox talks and JHA

• Lead project pre-planning and platform integration

• Perform PJU-HD detailed platform layout and elevations

• Develop and review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

• Verify hosing and circulation system requirements

• Coordinate BOP verification documentation and testing programs

• Manage field operation crews during installations and service

• Provide structural analysis information to meet regulatory requirements

• Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

• Develop operational procedures and technical work instructions

• Respond to client needs with 24-hour availability during assigned rotations

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

• Support research initiatives and equipment design improvements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry

• Experience in project management and field operations

• Experience with P&IDs, platform layouts, and elevations

• Experience with structural design (load-bearing components)

• Experience with crane capacity and lifting requirement verification

• Ability to perform hands-on field work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software

• Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, or hydraulics

• Leadership or mentoring experience
