About the Role:
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and experienced Resident Care Director to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in empowering residents to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for resident care in the community by managing, directing, and monitoring the nursing team as applicable by State/Province law.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for residents.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans that promote resident health and wellness.
- Conduct regular assessments and progress notes to evaluate changes in care needs and adjust plans accordingly.
- Manage the department budget, including labor and other expenses, to ensure efficient operation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state license as a professional Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum two (2) years LPN/LVN/RN experience, with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state/province and board of nursing requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to delegate assignments to appropriate individuals based on their skill capability and in compliance with all regulations.
