Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in/check-out using electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments accurately, manage calendar updates, and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes for various health plans including Medicare
- Collect and process payments and manage collections related to patient accounts
- Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Update patient information in EHR system, and ensure proper filing of medical records and correspondence
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent patient service, and address inquiries promptly while demonstrating strong phone etiquette
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Front Office Receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role within clinics or healthcare settings
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) is a plus
- Professionalism in all aspects of your job is expected.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Ability to follow clinical confidentiality policies strictly while managing electronic health records (EHR) management and documentation review processes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and appointment scheduling.
