We’re looking for a proven, hands-on talent leader who excels in both Talent Acquisition (leadership levels) and Talent Development. This role will proactively build pipelines of top-tier leadership and executive-level talent— identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional leaders before the need arises. You are someone who knows how to build pipelines, not wait for them. This roles also stretches into the Talent Development space to develop competency profiles and have expertise in the tools to evaluate current and future leadership talent (bench strength).
The ideal candidate has been there/done that: someone who has created scalable sourcing strategies, cultivated deep talent networks, and filled high-impact roles through proactive outreach and strong market intelligence. In addition to leading high-quality searches, this role will also support leadership development by helping define capability needs, strengthening onboarding for new leaders, and informing development programs that elevate leadership effectiveness across Sunrise.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain proactive talent pipelines for critical leadership, management, and executive roles — ensuring Sunrise always has qualified candidates ready before openings arise.
- Increase the quality of hire by consistently sourcing, screening, and placing high-performing leaders who elevate operational performance, client experience, and culture.
- Reduce time-to-fill for leadership roles through strong sourcing strategies, talent mapping, and ongoing relationship-building with passive candidates and industry contacts.
- Develop and implement a standardized leadership talent & recruitment process including competency profiles, interview scripts, assessment tools, and selection criteria tied to Sunrise’s values and performance standards.
- Create visibility into the leadership talent market through regular updates on pipeline health, competitive insights, and recommendations for improving Sunrise’s ability to attract top talent.
- Support targeted development initiatives by identifying capability gaps during the recruitment process and informing future training or coaching needs for leadership teams.
This role will require someone with deep expertise in this space in a large, growing organization. Ideal background comes from a service, B2B industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced Degree a plus!
- 8 years of proven experience in leadership or executive-level recruiting, with a strong track record of proactively sourcing top-tier talent in fast-paced, multi-site industries (services, operations, construction, landscaping, field-based environments preferred). You must have proven expertise in how to source candidates that are 'not in the market'.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust talent pipelines for manager, director, client success, VP, C-level and niche operational roles — with clear examples of filling roles through proactive outreach vs. inbound applicants.
- Strong pipeline analytics capability — able to show data on sourcing channels, conversion rates, talent mapping, and pipeline health for past roles/projects.
- Hands-on experience designing and executing search strategies including direct sourcing, talent mapping, competitive intelligence, passive candidate engagement, and multi-market recruiting approaches.
- Proven success partnering closely with senior leaders (GMs, RVPs, functional heads, ELT) to deeply understand talent needs, align on competencies, and deliver candidate slates that drive performance.
- Experience developing competency profiles and interview frameworks for leadership roles, including structured interviews, behavioral assessments, and selection criteria.
- Exceptional ability to evaluate leadership talent, understands talent management programs/processes including capability in assessing management skills, operational acumen, cultural fit, and growth potential.
- Experience working in high-growth or transformational environments, where processes still need to be built, standardized, and scaled.
- High level of accountability and ownership, with examples of managing searches independently, driving timelines, and closing strong hires without external support.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to position Sunrise’s brand, culture, and opportunities compellingly to senior-level candidates.

- Compensation for this role will be market competitive and commensurate with experience and include both a base salary and annual incentive bonus. Sunrise also offers a medical, dental and vision plans, 401k matching and attractive paid time away programs.
