What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glass Installer position at Sunrise Glass?
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of automotive, residential, and commercial glass
- Measure glass openings accurately and prepare materials for installation
- Safely load, transport, handle, and remove glass products
- Use hand and power tools to complete installations
- Prepare and clean job sites before and after each project
- Follow proper installation procedures and workplace safety standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Assist experienced installers while completing hands-on training
- Perform other glass installation and shop duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Glass installation, glazing, automotive glass, carpentry, or general construction experience is a plus
- No glass experience is required—we will train the right candidate
- Willingness to learn automotive, residential, and commercial glass installation
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to lift and safely handle heavy or fragile materials
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
