The Role
We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented professional to join our core accounting team. This isn’t just a "data entry" role; you’ll be a key player in ensuring our financial records follow GAAP standards and company policies. Whether you’re reconciling bank statements or helping wrap up the month-end books, you’ll have a hand in every part of our financial operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
- General Ledger & Closing: Take an active role in the monthly and annual closing processes, including preparing journal entries and the necessary documentation to support them.
- Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure every dollar is accounted for.
- Shop & Asset Accounting: Manage monthly shop closing procedures and assist with tracking company assets.
- Cross-Department Support: Be a versatile "utility player" by assisting in AP, AR, Payroll, and Billing whenever the team needs extra hands.
- Data Management: Use Excel to organize and analyze financial data efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- The Essentials: You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of related accounting experience is preferred. Some type of degree in Accounting is a required.
- Software Skills: You must be proficient in Excel; it’s a primary tool for this role.
- The Mindset: You’re someone who works well as part of a team but is also a self-starter who can handle independent projects without constant supervision.
