A Day in the Life
As a CAD Drafter at Sunrise Engineering, each day unfolds with a sense of purpose and excitement. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you embark on a journey to create innovative solutions for community engineering projects.
Your day-to-day activities may include:
- Transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents.
- Work with engineers to prepare original drawings and revisions of municipal, private and industrial civil engineering projects using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software.
- Provide technical support to other engineers and draftspersons as needed.
- Reviews engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Provide other services including surveying and inspection on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications for success include:
- 1-2 years of AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
- Ability to do site design and create Plan and Profile Sheets
- Experience in both ACAD 2005 and LDD 2005 or greater.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, organize, and plan work
