Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems like Toast to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage stations, and seating areas, following food safety standards
- Handle cash register operations, processing cash transactions with accuracy and managing change confidently
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure smooth service flow and optimal product availability
- Follow food safety procedures during food preparation and beverage service to ensure quality and compliance
Requirements
- Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation and beverage service is a plus
- Experience with POS systems such as Toast is desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food industry best practices
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and perform cleaning duties as needed
- Food service experience including serving beverages and food preparation is advantageous
