They act as a key link between management and workers, driving performance and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop production teams
- Staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and performance reviews
- Organize workflow, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure production goals and schedules are met
- Maintain quality standards, identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and implement cost-saving measures
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure adherence to regulations
- Problem-Solving:
- Resolve issues on the production floor, coordinate repairs, and liaise with other departments
- Reporting:
- Prepare summaries and reports on shift performance, output, and progress
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all hourly operations personnel.
- Previous supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing setting
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of production planning, equipment, and relevant safety standards
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Engineering)

- This position will be at the SunOpta Plant in Omak, WA.
- This Plant is a 24/7 operation with 3 shifts.
- Shifts will rotate to include both 2nd and 3rd shift as needed.
- Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
