Job Description:
Sunny View Care Center is looking for Certified Medication Assistant's to join our team! Must also have Certified Nurse Aide certificate as this is a dual role. We are hiring for 2nd shift. Weekend package shifts available.
Certified Medication Aide/Certified Nurse Aide Duties (CNA/CMA):
- Assisting residents with administration of medications.
- Following up with observation and documentation of resident response to medication received.
- Provides the right medication to the right person at the right time in the right dose and by the right route ensuring all changes in medication are responded to in a timely manner. Stores medications correctly, cleans and locks med cart or other storage system.
- Follows Facility policy for missed medications, accidentally dropped by the resident, and medication errors.
- Follows procedures for documentation, including narcotics sign out.
- Assists as needed to provide resident care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs.
- Assists residents with meals.
Certified Medication Aide (CMA/CNA) Qualifications:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Certified as a Medication Aide (CMA) from the state of Iowa.
- All applicants must be at least 16 years old
