Sunny Street Cafe is seeking a Host/Takeout Cashier to join our team. This role will earn tips and a tip-out on top of a base pay of $11 hourly pay. Enjoy great hours from 8:30am to 2:00pm with no evenings, providing ample opportunity for work-life balance. We offer competitive pay along with guest tips and server tip-out. Looking to mainly fill weekend shifts this fall, but have room for 1 more weekday host as well.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage seating arrangements efficiently, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods.
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and process takeout orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and takeout area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately.
- Assist in other front-of-house duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
