What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childcare Infant/Toddler Teacher position at Sunny Grove Preschool & Childcare Center - Turlock?
We are looking for Early Educators who have passion for working with children and love what they do.
Lead Infant teachers will be responsible for infant needs and service plans, appropriate lesson planning, assessments, parent teacher conferences.
We are looking for teachers with at least 12 units of child development and at least 3 units of infant/toddler units. Fingerprints Livescan , CPR, TB Test, up to date immunizations MMR and physical will be required.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good behavior.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters children's curiosity and love for learning.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with parents to communicate children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Support early intervention strategies for children who may need additional assistance in their learning journey.
- Flexible schedule to open at 7 am or be a closer till 6 pm
Skills
- Strong background in childhood development principles, particularly in preschool-aged children.
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Classroom management and behavior management
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to early education standards.
- Experience in behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Ability to implement special education strategies for children with diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of physical education activities suitable for preschoolers to promote physical health and coordination.
- Excellent classroom management skills that foster an organized and productive learning environment.
- Experience working with children in various settings, demonstrating patience, empathy, and effective communication skills.
- Can work independently in a classroom
