FLT Supervisor

Sunny Days is currently hiring a Foreign Language Translator Supervisor to cover all of New Jersey.

Job Requirements

1. Bilingual Interviews of Foreign Language Translators (“FLT’s”)

Consultant is responsible to interview FLT’s in Spanish to ensure the FLT has proficient knowledge of Spanish orally and, in some cases in writing. Ability to translate in the early intervention environment (i.e. terminology). Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.

2. Observation of FLTs:

Consultant is responsible to schedule each FLT for 30 min. observation of any scheduled EI session 1x/month

Each observation will be completed via zoom session- zoom account provided by independent consultant.

Consultant is responsible to ensure that FLT has obtained parental consent to conduct observation.

3. Required Documentation

Consultant will provide an encrypted transcript of the FLT dialogue with parent/caregiver from Zoom platform along with the completed Observation Checklist (to be given to Consultant)

Document observation compliance in Provider Soft platform under practitioner tab using tag options to reflect FLT’s competence.

Provide completed excel spreadsheet with date of each completed observation back to NJ Program Director for agency file.

1. Each observation will take no longer than 30 minute

2. Admin time to complete observation checklist not to exceed 30 minutes.

3. Provide verbal feedback with FLT at separate time to not exceed 15 minutes.

Experience/Qualifications/Education:

• College Degree

• Certification in Interpretation services.

• Experience in Early Intervention

• Continuing Education/Professional Development in Interpretation Services.

• Proficiency in both English and the Spanish language.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to function independently

• Ability to multitask
