Position Summary: Sunnen is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable honing stone manufacturer to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing honing stones and related components according to established procedures, quality standards, and production schedules.
Essential Functions Of The Job
The Cell Operator will be responsible for delivering results that include the following:
- Manufacturing honing stones and components using hand tools and assembly fixtures
- Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to ensure accuracy
- Inspect parts for defects or irregularities and report any quality issues to the lead
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Accurately record production data and complete necessary documentation
- Assist with packaging and labeling of finished products
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Participate in cross-training and other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- No prior assembly experience required training provided
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Familiarity with basic hand tools or production equipment (preferred)
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting
- May be exposed to dust, noise, and use of protective equipment
- Standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements required
