Sunlight Batteries USA, part of a global leader in advanced energy storage solutions, is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to support inventory control and material accuracy within our U.S. manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production flow, and ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Receive, count, and verify incoming materials, components, and supplies against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
- Perform inventory transactions including receipts, movements, adjustments, and cycle counts using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and support physical inventory activities, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records to support production scheduling, material availability, and audit compliance.
Warehouse Operations
- Store, label, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Issue materials to production lines and internal customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support material flow between receiving, storage, staging, and production areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (as trained and certified).
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all inventory handling complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Identify damaged, expired, or non‑conforming materials and escalate issues according to established procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and documentation.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with warehouse, production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure accurate material availability.
- Communicate inventory issues, shortages, or discrepancies promptly to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and inventory control practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with temperature variations, noise, and other conditions typical of warehouse environments.
Basic Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment‑based sponsorship is not available.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or material handling in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, inventory procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and consistent attendance.
- Ability to work onsite in a warehouse/manufacturing environment and support assigned shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Forklift or powered industrial truck certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience supporting cycle counting, audits, or inventory reconciliations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing materials, part numbering, or bill of materials (BOMs).
- Experience in a regulated, safety‑critical, or manufacturing environment.
